Prinsendam 2006
Year: 2006
Maker:
Diameter: oval shape with metal edge
In collection: Clive Hellinga
Specifics: It seems as if something is going to be experimented. Maybe plates have become to common and people are looking for something new with the memory of the journey as a function. The Prinsendam is now on the left on the scale. The extensive text is: ‘ms Prinsendam 2006 Grand World Voyage Circle of the Sun’.

Amsterdam 2007
Year: 2007

Specifics: A beautiful bowl. Beautiful colors, lighter than with previous plates, and a text ‘Dream of Discovery, Grand World Voyage, ms Amsterdam’.

(I know from 2008 that there are five Amata signs, one large and four small, all published on the Amsterdam, but I do not know them.)

Rotterdam 2009
Year: 2009

Details: The plates become lighter in color. The edge seems to be derived from the Amata plates from 2008. ‘2009 Grand World Voyage ms Rotterdam’ is written on this plate.

(The board of the World Cruise 2010 of the Amsterdam is not known to me)

Details: A plate, completely different from the previous ones. On the outer edge the names of the visited places are mentioned, a little bit inside you will find symbolic images of those places. Central is the globe / map with a compass rose above it. Neptune, god of the sea, is depicted to the left of the compass rose and Hermes, god of travelers, on the right. The text is ‘Grand World Voyage 2014’.

Amsterdam 2015
Year: 2015
Maker:
Diameter:
In collection: Clive Hellinga
Specifics: The board has a double border. You will also encounter cities and maps on this board. The text is ‘2015 Grand World Voyage ms Amsterdam’

Amsterdam 2016
Year: 2016
Maker:
Diameter:
In collection: Clive Hellinga
Specifics: There is a wide edge; the color red / brown is apparently popular, because also used in the (baptism of the) Prinsendam. The meaning of the waves (?) on the board rises questions. The text reads: ‘Grand World Voyage 2016’. It is remarkable that the name of the ship does not appear on the board.
